This is the location website of the Sutherland Partnership - a not-for-profit company dedicated to promoting community development in Sutherland, in the Scottish Highlands.

On 11 June 1998, the Sutherland Partnership was incorporated, at Companies House, Edinburgh, as a private limited company, with a company number SC186690.  Our registered office is at: New Buildings, Main Street, Lairg, Sutherland IV27 4DB.

The primary purpose of this website is to persuade you to come to Sutherland, whether as a visitor, resident or employer.  Our Key Facts page will help you get acquainted with this place.

This website gives a broad insight into the many reasons why businesses and communities continue to thrive in the area.  Sutherland is not just a place to visit: a high quality of life; access to good jobs; a modern telecommunications infrastructure; and above-average educational standards make Sutherland an ideal place to live and work.
